Even though I’m slowly becoming a minimalist, there’s quite a few things I still have. Building this page is also a good reminder of what I actually use, meaning everything else I own can go away.
Here’s a list of them. No affiliate links below. Idea from uses.tech.
Hardware
- Macbook Air 2025 M4 32GB RAM
- Nuphy Node High Profile 75 Keyboard, best silent-feel combination I’ve ever had on a keyboard, and I’ve had a few.
- Apple Magic Mouse (Don’t recommend, I’ll probably get a Logi MX in the future)
- iPhone 17, I change my iPhone every 5 years, and get the model before the current one. Just as good, way less expensive.
- FlexiSpot E1 Standing Desk, still haven’t found the walking pad to pair with.
- Ikea Marcus Chair, used to have an Autonomous ErgoChair. Turns out expensive doesn’t mean better.
- Shooting film with my beloved Nikon FE2 on Portra 400
- Writing with my Lamy Studio Fountain Pen on a Leuchtturm1917 dotted
- Kindle 10th Gen, old, slow, but does the job.
- Apple AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation
Software
- Ghostty terminal on zsh with Oh My Zsh and a custom theme
- Cursor with the Vim extension as my current IDE, although I’ve been a Vim user for most of my career
- Claude Code Max both personally and professionally (Yes, I have two accounts, one that I gladly pay for)
- This blog runs on Jekyll and is deployed on GitHub pages
- Buttondown for newsletters.
- Brave as my default browser.
- Namecheap for everything domain shenanigans.
- Duolingo for Japanese learning (644 days streak as of May 2026 lol), waiting to find a moment to dive into the Genki books
- Ulysses for writing blog drafts, a book and whatnot.
- Spotify for music. Staple since 2010. Working, driving, working out… it’s always on.
- Notion, Apple Notes, Telegram’s self chat and others to store thoughts and ideas, which is why I’m building ZettelCastle.
